RHPS Silent Auction Fundraiser
Save the Date: PTA Silent Auction Saturday, April 12, 2008. Mark your calendar to participate in this wonderful event that raises money to support PTA activities, and join us for an evening full of fun. This year the auction will be held at the Glenview Mansion in Rockville. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door: send your check to Melissa Snowden c/o Max, Ms. Cartins, 2nd grade class. Kindergarten Orientation
Kindergarten orientation will take plan on April 22 and 23, from 9:00 to 3:00 for incoming students for the 2008-2009 school year. Volunteers needed! The RHPS staff and teachers do all the work - We act as welcome committee and give kids a snack in the activity room. Come for an hour or as much time as you wish on either day. Super Saturday is Coming!
Super Saturday will be held on May 3, 2008 from 11:00 to 3:00. Super Saturday is a fantastic carnival with games and amusements, arts and crafts, tattoos, nail art, bottlemania, balloons, food and much more. Many volunteers are needed to pull it all together and make it a great time for the entire family. To volunteer, please contact Laura Cihra at lcihra@comcast.net.
Gently Used Toys and Clothes Needed
In case anyone needs to create more space for those new items that arrived over the holidays, our classrooms are in need of some "gently used" toys and games to use during indoor recess. Please contact Sue Burnett if you have any of the following items to donate:Connect Four, Chutes and Ladders, Trouble, Hullabaloo, Lincoln logs, Etch-a-Sketch, Magna Doodle, floor puzzles, big Legos, building blocks, lacing beads, other munipulatives.
Additionally, the nurses office is in great need of pants and underwear for kids for when the unexpected accident occurs. If you have clothes your kids have outgrown, please send them into the nurse's office, or contact PTA President Sue Burnett at susanbb24@yahoo.com.
