Mad Science:

It's time to register for the always popular Mad Science SECRET AGENT LAB. Two classes will be available, open to all Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students:

• Tuesday from 3:30-4:40pm; 02/21 - 04/17
• Wednesday from 3:30-4:40pm; 02/22 - 04/18

Each 8-week program costs $112.00 and will include the following topics: Crime Lab, Sleuths on the Scene, Funky Forensics, Whodunit?, Spy Academy, Agent Undercover, Discover Detection, and Jr. Detectives. Foreign Languages

Rosemary Hills is proud to say that our FLES classes in Spanish, French and Chinese have been a big success! So much so we are offering families who did not sign up in the fall another chance to give your child the opportunity to learn a foreign language after school right here at Rosemary Hills. Our classes are educational, lively and fun! Your child will learn a foreign language through familiar stories like The Country Mouse and the City Mouse & The Little Red Hen. Our native speaking teachers spark children's imagination with animated tales, bright and cheerful visuals, flashcards and puppets. Children enjoy singing, role play, games, body movements and hands-on activities. Below, please find the mid-year registration forms and more information on class schedules.

Lego Robotics - Offered on Mondays, open to 2nd grade students. Eight meetings will be held, once a week. $105.00/student. Min/Max 12 students.

This is our core class, where beginners learn to build and program LEGO robots using LEGO Education's award-winning WeDo Robotics and Programming Software. Students follow step-by-step onscreen instructions to build their robots and a suggested program. After that, we work with those who are ready to develop more complicated programs involving motion or tilt sensors. In the final class, we take off the training wheels and challenge the students to design and build a bot that can acheive a certain task.

Roundhouse Theater:

Thursdays from 3:45-4:45pm, (9/22, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/17, 12/1) Is your drama queen/king itching for something fun to do after school on Thursdays? Roundhouse Theatre is back and again offering after school drama classes at RHPS.

• Animal Tales, Kindergarten - 1st Grade: Explore the wild side of the animal kingdom from the safety and warmth of a classroom. Each week, students will discover new creatures - from the smallest mouse to the most magnificent dragon - through creative play, song, movement, and visual arts. Animal Tales concludes with an open class showing for family members.
• Fractured Fairy Tales, 1st and 2nd Grade: Shake up your favorite stories! Students will have the chance to re-visit some of their favorite fairy tales and learn how to tell them in a whole new way. What if Goldilocks and the Three Bears decided to become friends? What if the Princess refused to kiss that frog? Whatever happened to Cinderella's Step Sisters? The possiblities are endless! Fractured Fairy Tales culminates in an informal sharing for family members during the last class.

Creative Adventures in Art for First and Second Graders:

Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm, (9/22, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3) Back Again, New Art Projects! More fun for your imagination - drawing, painting, crafts and much much more!!!

Cost: $110.00. Payable to Creative Adventures, Inc.

Science Spectacular with the Audubon Society, Kindergarten - 2nd Grade:

Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45pm, (9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1) Explore nature's potions, motions, optical illusions and other mysteries in this exciting series. To build our biological, chemical and physical knowledge, we will conduct scientific experiments and practice our observation skills. Hands-on experiments, crafts and outdoor adventures will accompany our scientific explorations. This class is perfect for the budding scientist! We will be going outside as much as possible, so please dress weather appropriately!

Cost: $90.00. Payable to RHPSPTA.

Mondays Yoga! with Yoga Tales, Kindergarten - 2nd Grade:

Mondays from 3:45-4:30pm, (9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21) Building strong bodies and strong character...All of our yoga classes for children ages 3-18 use stories, music and games to engage yoginis in healthful movement and help them grow stronger and more flexible. With focus on balancing techniques, including relaxation and stress reduction, which can help increase concentration and improve mental acuity.

Our fantastic new themes reinforce a sense of awareness and a thoughtful attitude in children - on and off the yoga mat. Every month we focus on one "theme", such as self-esteem, truthfulness, patience, or healthy living habits. By exploring these concepts through their family experiences and other examples, students come to their own unique understanding and begin to shape a lifelong value system. (We are asking that children bring their own mats so they can practice at home and also for germ protection).

Handwriting is Fun, LLC, Wednesdays After School Program, Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Are you concerned about your child's printing legibility? Does your child write his/her letters upside down or in reverse? Does your child hold his/her pencil in an odd way? Does your child begin his/her letters at the bottom? If you answered YES to any of these questions, your child would benefit from our after-school programs.

Classes are offered in 8-week sessions or you can register for the whole year.

• Session 1 - 10/5 through 11/30
• Session II - 12/7 through 2/1
• Session III - 2/8 through 3/28
