Volunteering for Rosemary Hills PTA
Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteering is a great way to help your child's school, meet other parents, foster school pride, and have fun. There are many ways you can help. Whether you want to plan and run a PTA event or to give an hour of your time at lunch/recess, in the classroom or helping with an event, your contribution makes a huge difference.

How to Volunteer
Rosemary Hills parents have lots of opportunities to volunteer - daytime, evening, weekends; at school or at home. We have volunteer jobs to suit every schedule!
- To volunteer in your child's classroom, please contact your teacher or room parent. Volunteers are also welcome in "specials" like Music, Art and Media.
- Generally teachers start recruiting classroom volunteers in October, after students have had a chance to become acclimated. As a classroom volunteer, your presence is a welcome way for teachers to maximize their instructional time. Teachers may need volunteers to work with students, or to provide other assistance such as copying, cutting, and setting up bulletin boards.
- To volunteer for PTA activities and events, please contact the volunteer coordinator of the event that interests you, or submit a PTA Volunteer Form. Complete the form and either send via email to Volunteer Coordinators Julie Tewksbury or Mandy Joholske OR print and complete the form and send via backpack mail to the PTA Mailbox.
- Additionally, PTA coordinators often post requests for volunteers to the Rosemary Hills PTA List Serv.

A Note About Volunteering
There is a strong tradition of volunteerism at RHPS. In addition, all of the fun and enriching PTA events are completely volunteer run. In recent years, we have had such a successful volunteer program that county school officials have contacted our school for advice. Every member of our community should feel very proud of our past volunteer efforts.
Our goal in recruiting and organizing volunteers for this year is simple: to provide each student with the best educational experience possible. We need your help to accomplish this goal. Remember, when you invest your time in our school, you help to form bonds that make us not just an institution, but a community. Further, seeing your commitment to the school will increase your child's sense of commitment to the whole RHPS experience.
