School Supplies for 2010-2011 School Year
As we prepare for the end of the current school year, we are already planning for next fall. We will be using the convenient services of Staples SchoolKidz and their Teacher Tailored™ back-to-school supply kit program.
Staples SchoolKidz offers brand name items such as Crayola®, Fiskars®, Elmer's® and Staples® that are chosen by the teachers so the kit is exactly what is on your child's supply list. Best of all, the entire package comes in a personalized kit, with your child's name labeled on the reusable storage box.
This program will save you time, making "back-to-school time" less hectic and more enjoyable for both students and parents. We believe you will find the pricing to be very reasonable. All kits will be delivered to the school and we will let you know the exact date for pick-up.
Each student will also receive the following Staples SchoolKidz Extras: Personalized Storage Box 40 Personalized Student ID Labels, 10 Money From Home Envelopes, Important School Dates Magnet and School Note Pad
We are offering this program as a service to the students and parents of our school.
We believe this is a wonderful program for purchasing your child's exact school supplies and encourage you to take advantage of this offer.

Each class has two options for ordering supplies: a basic list and a deluxe kit. Please review the items available in each kit. Please remember to order the supply kit that your child will need in September. If you child is currently in 1st grade they will need the 2nd grade kit.
In order to give all children the supplies they need we are offering an option to donate money to the PTA so that we may buy supply kits at a reduced cost for the school. You will see this option on the web site. You are also welcome to buy an extra kit and donate the supplies to the school when they arrive to your home in August. We thank everyone for making donations to the school.
Health Forms and Information
The school has asked us to post some information on this website, including the Authorization to Administer Prescribed Medication form and information concerning head lice.
Playground Renovation
In 2007, the RHPS PTA began a very successful fundraising campaign that allowed us to renovate two sections of the upper and lower playground areas. Since the spring of 2007, we raised over $60,000 and with additional support from MCPS, we have added close to $85,000 worth of playground equipment to our school. It has really made a difference in our school, and most importantly, the students love it!
We want to thank all the RHPS families whose contributions made this equipment possible. We also received very generous support from the Town of Chevy Chase, the Village of Chevy Chase, Chevy Chase Village Section 3 and Chevy Chase Village Section 5. We have had continued support from our contact with MCPS, Pam Montgomery, and our representative at Playground Specialists.
